Zeus's Battle with Typhon: After the Olympian Gods had their victory against the Titans, Gaia became angry with Zeus, because of the way he had mistreated her sons (the Titans). Gaia then united with Tartarus, the deepest and darkest part of the underworld, and they created the worlds darkest and most evil monster; Typhon. When Typhon attacked Mount Olympus, the home of the gods, with flaming boulders and a breath of fire. The gods were no match for their deadly relative, so they fled from him. After a while, Athena, the goddess of wisdom accused Zeus the leader of being a coward, and convinced Zeus to go out and battle Typhon. Zeus battled Typhon armed with thunder and lighting, and he landed a strike, and then chased the monster. After severely injuring Typhon, Zeus decided to fight him hand-in-hand. Typhon managed to wrap Zeus in his coils, and wrestle him for the sickle. Typhon came out at the good end, and cut Zeus's tendons. He then took Zeus to a cave on a mountainside, and ordered his sister, Delphyne to guard him. Delphyne was a half-dragon, half-maiden hybrid. Luckily, Hermes, Zeus's son and the god of thieves and messages, managed to sneak into the cave and fit Zeus's tendons back into his body. Zeus immediately gained his strength back, and escaped. He then chased Typhon with thunderbolts, all the way to Sicily, where Zeus picked up the gigantic mount Aetna, pinning Typhon underneath it, and then returned to live at Mount Olympus.
